Oh how fun it is to photograph people…

I photograph all ages. I love working with newborns, because I can usually mold them into the shapes I want them to lay in, and they are so peaceful and sweet… My very close second as far as favorite subjects to work with is teenage girls (usually seniors). They are at the age where cloths and make up is a big deal, looking good in front of the camera is a must, and giggling over silly things is pretty much expected.

I got to work with two young women today in downtown Vancouver Washington. I love my town! There are not many places you can go to and get such a wide variety of looks. We started at a green park with large green and yellow tree’s surrounding us. Then we moved to a stone “water feature” – except the water was shut off for the season, but the bricking in that area was perfect for some interesting shots. Next we hit a big huge “garage door” that has the paint chipping off, this gave us the downtown urban feel we wanted. Down the street from that we found a wall full of different painted murals (war murals- The girls are hoping they can get some extra credit for identifying which war the murals represented). Then we jumped in the car and finished off our shoot in front of winding roots from tree’s growing out of the sandy shore of the Columbia River, rocks and sand and the river all made a good end to our shoot. That and the sun played peek-a-boo the entire time through thick high clouds.
